SANU 2nd Home is a series of 50 cabins amidst nature, build of recycled concrete and domestically produced timber and located close to mountains, by lakes and the like in the vicinity of Tokyo.
Each cabin is designed to be a home-away-from-home where the users can work, play and stay close to nature during their stay.
henrik-innovation has taken part in the LCA analysis to determine the project’s carbon footprint and how many trees they need to plant on site for the project to become carbon neutral. As a result, more than 7.500 trees are being planted on the sites and accumulate more than 4,600 tons of carbon.
The project indicates one of the ways in which we can build sustainably in the future.
