Ibihaven is the first in a series of apartment communities (Agorahaverne) with large common areas in the form of a central, naturally conditioned atrium. The project recently finished and its residents who are adults without children, has moved in.
henrik-innovation has contributed during the planning process of the project with optimization of the atrium through passive design strategies, amongst these are handling of sunlight and utilization of natural ventilation to achieve a comfortable indoor climate in close colloboration with the architects.
In the coming months henrik-innovation will furthermore perform measurements and assists with further implementation and optimization of the ventilation strategy.
Through the optimization process the design team has achieved a frost free and Mediterranean like indoor climate during winter and summer periods respectively and generally comfortable conditions in this non-climate-controlled large atrium. The atrium invites to joint activities and stays for residents with room for gardening, workshops, common dining and more.
